Mount Royal College University offers one of the most innovative and unique business programs in North America. I completed my Small Business and Entrepreneurship degree in 2008, and could not be happier with the entire program and the incredible industry professionals / professors I had the privilege to learn from and now call friends.
I am extremely fortunate that some of the most influential instructors involved with the Mount Royal business program thoroughly enjoy keeping passionate alumni involved with Strategy and Innovation courses at the University. I have been invited by Alex Bruton to judge 1st and 4th year business strategy student groups, alongside the renowned Stephen Kenny, on 5 main areas surrounding their business models:
- Value Creation
- Customer Evaluation
- Supplier Evaluation
- Team Strength
- Competitive Advantage
Participating with the classes has been an excellent experience, and the students really have initiated some unique business concepts, several of them revealing promising future potential. It’s also been beneficial for me personally for several reasons. First and foremost, it keeps me involved with some of the most innovative individuals and business concepts that are currently being taught. Secondly, through analysis of several different new business ideas, it allows me to gain a much more in-depth understanding of business-model-dissection and future development, in turn allowing me to apply the same concepts to strengthen both Emphasize Design and Reel Rydes business models. And finally, it truly is fun, I enjoy it, and I feel I am genuinely helping students.
I can’t thank Alex Bruton enough for the invitation to participate with his classes. He truly is one of the most influential business professionals out there today – I mean it! Not only is he initiating and growing some of the most unique and cutting-edge business tactics, but he influences all those that surround him with his positive energy, friendliness, and innovative thinking. Keep an eye and ear out for Alex Bruton, because he’s goin’ places! Thank you Alex – I am honored to be a part of your class, again.
